How to compress video without losing quality on VLC
When your video, edit video, or animation video is complete, your video is having a big size like 1 GB or 200 MB or other bytes. When uploading on social media (such as Discord, YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter etc), your video may take a much hours to finish uploading. On Discord, it require you to subscribe to Nitro, if you already subscribe to Nitro, you may skip this post or you can continue to fix your problems if you prefer. Now first, we need to download and install VLC, which is free and open-source. After you did that, do the following steps:
- Open VLC.
- Click media at the up-left corner.
- Click "Convert/Save" .
- Under the Open Media properties, click "+Add", then, find the video.
- Once you founded the video, hover the "Convert/Save" and click the down arrow symbol. Then click "Convert"
- On the profile select "Video - H.264 + MP3 (MP4)". Now click the wrench icon, which means it's a customize video.
- Under the profile edition, click "Video Codec".
- On the bitrate, select any kb/s you want. For Example, 8000 kp/s.
- Once you done the bitrate, click "Save", click "Browse", then enter your video name and save it in any locations.
- Once you're done that, click "Start" to start compressing video.
- After you done, test the video by clicking "Media", "Open File", then opening your compressed video, and test it.
Congratulations, your video is now compressed! You can upload it on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc'
