How to fix local disk C showing red in Windows 7/8/10/11

The C: drive showing the storage red bar and it will slow your computer. That means there is no much free space. The reason why does C: drive showing red is that you installed many games and softwares or you were downloaded many lots of files, games and software. You can uninstall them, reinstall them and redownload your files on any local disk such as D: drive and E: drive.

Try these method to make the C: drive clean

Deleting all the files in Temp folder

Press the Windows icon and R, then type "temp". Press Ctrl and A to select all and then delete it. If any files that can't be deleted, it is running on the program. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, click "Processes" and click any processes and then click "End Process".

Using Disk Cleanup to clean the C: drive

Double-click the "Computer" and right-click on C: drive. click "Properties" then click "Disk Cleanup". Wait for the Disk Cleanup to clean any files. Once it is cleaned the files, click "Clean up system files" to clean any files again. After that, select all the files and click ok to start deleting the files. If you recieve a confirmation message, click "Delete Files". Once you cleaned the files, reboot your computer and it will not make your computer slowly.

Uninstalling programs and games that never been used

On the Control Panel, click Programs -> Uninstall a program, then uninstall any programs and games that you never used.

If these methods didn't work, buy the hard disk for a bigger size.
